Quick-Start: Play A Game of 501
1. From the main screen in the previous section, press the function key F8 or click the Enter key on the main keypad (3). This will navigate to the following screen.
2. This screen by default is set up to select a game of 501 so press the F8 key again or press the Enter (1) key again. You should see this screen now. TODO 501.
3. When you start a fresh session the player on the left will always be set up to throw first (4). Use the numeric keypad (1) to enter your entire 3 darts score (single dart entry is covered in the next quick start). As you type a digit it will appear in the box at (2). Invalid darts scores or ones that would make you bust will not be accepted.
4. To correct a mistake click the delete button (6) and the score will disappear. When you are happy with it press the Enter button on the keypad (3) and the score will be entered into the list and deducted from your total. The next player will be set and they can perform the same process. The boxes at (7) track the number of darts thrown by that player
5. The back button at (8) can be used to exit a game at any point. It will prompt you so you can change your mind if you press it by accident.
6. When you checkout add this entire score and the leg will be finished and the leg/set indicator (5) will be updated, the GAME SHOT screen will be displayed.
7. You can click the UNDO button at (1) if you make a mistake here to return to the last position in the game. If you press Enter (2) or the F8 function key a new game will be set up, the starting player is always rotated at this point.
Quick-Start: Score Dart By Dart
The previous quick-start demonstrated how to input a 3 dart score. You can also enter each dart score and have it summed up and you can alternate between these modes.
During a game press any of the 4 buttons on the right hand side F5-F8 and this is the screen you will see
1. The pop-up window that appears is split into 3 lines one for each score (2-4). When you enter line 1 will be highlighted (2).
2. As an example suppose you score single 20, enter this screen by clicking the F5 button or once in the screen press F5. The indicator will say S0. Type 20 on the key pad (1) and the display will show S20 = 20.
3. Press Enter on the keypad (1) and the score will be entered. The indicator will move to the next line, the total (4) and the remaining score (6) will also be updated. If checkout hints are enabled and there is a possible checkout with the remaining darts it will appear at 7.
4. Once the final score is entered the pop-up will be removed and the score you have just entered will be deducted from your total.
5. This process can be used for doubles (F6), trebles (F7) and bullseye (F8). For example if trebles are selected and you type 20, you will se T20 = 60. The bull selector switches between inner and outer bull to select 50 or 25 as the score. You cannot enter invalid scores. For example in trebles if you type 2 followed by 5 only the 2 will appear as there is no such score as treble 25.
6. If you make a mistake on a line press the Cancel button on the key pad to remove it.
7. The F1 key deletes the current line completely and move to the previous one.
8. If you wish to remove the pop-up simply use the F4 key and no score will be entered.
9. If the score you have entered is bust or a checkout this will be notified before the final enter is pressed.
